this was a little project i did in my Sculpture class at college, i had fun with it, even taut the teacher a few things apparently...><
what is it? its a thing...Its supposed to be a mask of a Gazelle...
Cast Bronze
Lots of time and chemicals went into the green patina, I worked to make it look like it was bronze around Green granite or something. I definitely know how to do it better next time...if there ever is a next time...
And the polishing i don't even want to talk about,....I'm still polishing it ><
Unfortunately, i wasn't sure weather this should have gone under Metal Work, or Costumes...though, as a mask, I don't think i would want 20 pounds of bronze on my face...
patina fun? i should write a guide maybeh. know the techniquekeke for over 40 colors +_+
ah, you should wax over the patina to protect it and make it shine. you ever hear of the quillan frogs? i learned from that guy. no paint, its all patina..
that's a unique mask you got there. if you want the brasss to stay polished you can also wax it, or do the lazy-mill and coat with varnish/epoxy/tongue oil.

i need to finish polishing it to its mirror finish....the thing is....the patina is so tender the wax horribly distorts it....it has a patina spray on it though...as for the metal, again, when i put anything on it it dulls....but then again, its gonna dull anyways...I had i polished so bright at one point it looked like platinum...

"Say is that a tentacle?" -----Your Conseince----- Valicetra
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
